Trish

Drove to St Joseph, Missouri to do a little genealogical research.

When Trish was born, in 1927, her family lived in the house at 3901 Terrace Avenue. Here is a photo of it today.

A couple of years later they moved around the corner to the two-story house on the right, below.

The address of this house is 4105 King Hill Avenue. The family lived there until Trish turned 10 or 11, when they moved two houses to the north, which is the house on the far left of this photo. Below is a photo of that house today, at 4101 King Hill Avenue.

All three of these houses are on the southside of St Joseph. This means Trish attended Benton High School, which is still very much in use today.

Here is the page from the 1943 yearbook that shows Trish when she was a junior (Patricia Craig).

In her first three years in high school, Trish sang in the Mixed Chorus. She is 4th from the right in the middle row.

In her senior year, she was part of the "Bentonian" staff, which I believe was the school newspaper. Below she is 3rd from the right, in the middle row.

Also in her senior year, she played the role of Mrs. Reardon in the senior play. In the photos below, she is seated on the righthand side of the stage.

Trish graduated in 1944. Here is the page from the yearbook with her photo.

  1. seems to me that trish must have loved high school. she was quite active! and i remember that top house from when we all visited St. Joe because i took a picture of it. i don't remember the other two at all. i'm glad you had a good trip.

  2. All those similar hairstyles! So many of those portraits could be the same woman from a slightly different angle to my eye. Of course, Trish looks absolutely lovely in that second portrait of hers. And I wonder if she was a good actress. (This is Heather. For some reason it won’t let me post as myself)
